Sophie Rifkin & the Return on Sustainable Investment

Solvable New Works is a series of perspective-shifting conversations free and open to all. On April 22nd, we’ll be joined by Sophie Rifkin to discuss methodologies that bridge the gap between sustainability strategies and financial performance. The NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business developed the ROSI™ framework to provide business leaders and investors with different perspectives on ESG data that improve decision-making and competitive advantage. Rifkin will discuss findings from the “Apparel Industry Sustainable Strategies Framework” which used ROSI to monetize investments in sustainability with REI, EILEEN FISHER, and other apparel companies. If you work in the apparel industry or are wanting to learn more about quantifying your company’s sustainability investment, you won’t want to miss this conversation.

Sophie Rifkin is Director of Corporate Research and Engagement at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business where she oversees the Return on Sustainability Investment (ROSI™) methodology research partnerships with companies. Sophie is also an adjunct professor at NYU Stern, teaching coursework in sustainability strategy. Sophie has over 14 years of experience working with organizations to grow and implement sustainability programs.
