ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL
our inquiries
No Coddling
What happens when we remove the guardrails that limit the depth of work and its potential?
Belonging
What could result from you and your team being in right relationship with each other and the non-human world?
Solidarity
How could your team move beyond deference to actually embrace fundamental differences amongst you as a superpower?
How cAN your team move beyond deference to embrace difference as a superpower?
Our Department works with clients to shift underlying relationships within teams and organizations that enable better solutions to emerge. While politicians fan the flames of diversity rhetoric to increase alienation, division, and separation, decades of scholarship offer a counterweight. It is well documented by researchers that heterogeneity increases the propensity for innovation. Psychology research also proves that a greater sense of belonging and security to people, local ecology, and the biosphere expands the ability to enter the Growth Zone. As underlying relational conditions shift, so too do the openings for solutions that solve.
Our theory of change is that organizations and systems fail to adapt because all too rarely spaces are created that invite other ways of knowing and being together in the work. Most group spaces are not prepared to confront and process the frictions that emerge and result in placation and dilution. Our Department facilitates groups working to shift systems through in-person and virtual rooms that enable personal and collective interrogations of thinking, patterns, and structures. We create the spaces for groups to first get to zero with each other and then build layers that thrive on diversity rather than sink under its weight or invest in performativity at the surface.
We seek to repair the often overlooked and deprioritized divisions between self, culture, and nature. It is in this healing process that we find teams and organizations resourcing themselves to do much harder things, together.

“My favourite part of the workshop was attempting to get an entire room to leave preconceived identifications of who we are and the barriers of who we can be at the door.”
“I thought you did a great job guiding people through areas that we often don't address in a large group.”
“This is very important work that you are doing for our world! You are providing inspiration and tremendous hope at a time when such things are most needed. Thank you.”
